The Lunar New Year is an important time for celebrations and fresh starts for many around the world. The Chinese New Year, Vietnamese New Year (Tet-Tet Nguyen Dan) and Korean New Year (Sol-Nal) are filled with similar customs that date back thousands of years, from honoring ancestors to cleaning house to colorful parades. The Lunar Calendar is based on the movements of the moon, with each month beginning a new moon.
