In recent years, Vancouver has seen the emergence of a slower, simpler, more civilized bicycle culture, which has made utility cycling more accessible and diverse. Perhaps most importantly, it’s taken the bicycle off our back streets and put it “front and centre” in the city’s consciousness; with many more women, children, and seniors on bikes.
